The organisers of the event ask that we choose two charities to raise money for. We have to raise £1000 in total, and the two charities we have chosen are Mercy Corps Mongolia (based in Scotland) and Hope and Homes for Children (Wiltshire).

Mercy Corps supports rural communities to meet their economic and social needs, helping individuals, families and communities to become more self-sufficient, diversified in their production, and better linked to local, regional markets.

Hope and Homes for Children help secure the lives and future livelihoods of more than 15,000 orphaned or abandoned children throughout Eastern and Central Europe and Africa.
